Scarlet Armada: The Art of Jumping

The Art of Jumping, by kaizomario1234

Though a large minority of ROBLOX Talk is actually good at building, a smaller minority is actually good at game development. Sounds confusing? Well, let me put it this way. Building consists of putting down parts and wedges on ROBLOX Studio, messing with their properties, and adding in more elements (particle emitters, lighting, etc.) to create an environment.

Game development, however, consists of not only building, but scripting, and creating your game in a way that is addictive, replayable, and generally fun. An example of such creative works is kaizomario1234’s The Art of Jumping, which gained some popularity in ROBLOX Talk.

About the Game Creator

Kaizomario1234 was a well-known RTer (a term for people who usually participate in the ROBLOX Talk sub-forum) who used to be friends with with epikrika, a YouTuber known for his forum simulators. One day, he was deleted after someone mini-modded him for using his siggy. Kaizo quit ROBLOX, but right before, he made a sequel to The Art of Jumping, although it sucks compared to the first one (a review of it coming soon). He's still active on twitter and Steam. I can't provide a URL since some or most of his tweets are edgy and would be considered against ROBLOX rules.

Gameplay & Objectives

Me failing at the first level

This game is about jumping (obviously). You're supposed to jump your way to the top. However, this isn't just your regular obby, as the obstacles are well-placed and designed, despite all of them being razors. You can't just mindlessly jump your way through the obby. You have coordinate and time each jump your take, which might take time. However, due to my dull mind, I barely got to the second level

It seems as if Kaizo gave great thought into the level design and invested much effort into it, even though the concept is simple. The game is so addicting yet so fun. I seldom ever feel compelled to rage-quit, but instead compelled to keep going and finish the game.

Environment

Overview of most of the first level.

Despite it being very simplistic, the environment is pretty nice and uplifting. Who knew lights here and there and tacky coloring would make a perfect environment for jumping? The music is also pretty nice. It gives you a feeling a pretty merry feeling.

Verdict

Currently this game is one of my favorite obbies. Hell, I'm not sure if it should even be classified as an obby due to its awesomeness. Due to its great level design and vivid environment, I'll give it a 10/10.

ROBLOX High School Review

The ROBLOX High School Place Image

The ROBLOX High School game is a well-known classic on ROBLOX, being around for quite a while now. It sports many fun features, such as being able to buy cars, use phones, and even being able to buy your own house. It's a perfect blend of real-life and school. Many aspects of the game are well thought out, and you're even able to choose what you actually are in the game, like a student or a principle, for example. There's even a special pass you can buy that allows you to change school schedules and give out detentions, just like a real principal!

Gameplay at ROBLOX High School
The ROBLOX High School game retains a lot of the classic ROBLOX look, with no terrain generation and classic building styles, but don't let that fool you. This game combines classic ROBLOX gaming with current up-to-date ROBLOX features such as game passes and in-game purchases. It's a great blend and is fun for both ROBLOX veterans, such as me, and for new players that have never set foot in a ROBLOX game before.

This game has endless possibilities as anyone can interact with the school world, as if the entire school is in your hands. You can be in class and listen to the teachers, or you could leave without asking for permission and have teachers chasing you down the hall telling you to get back into class (Yes, I tried.)

The school has a schedule that you can follow (or not, but you'll probably end up with detention). Classes start at certain times every day just like a real school, and you can get in trouble for being late. You can also decide to walk to class or if you want to teleport straight to class. This game combines realism, gaming, and fun all into one package, and is great for everyone to enjoy.

Overall, this game is a fun and great ROBLOX classic. Our review team gives the game a very high score of 9.5 out of 10. Millions of people have played the game before, and thousands are still playing it to this day. The only downsides are that a few players can ruin the game by interrupting class, and that poorer players are at a disadvantage, as purchasing items does enhance the game - You can still have as much fun as the richer people, but you'll have to deal with some downsides, as not being able to enforce and change the schedule, which is a premium feature that costs almost 500R$. You also have to join the fan group if you want to enjoy more features, such as using the phone - and while not as bad as purchasing passes, it is still an inconvenience.

Luckily, this game will receive a major Summer update on August 7, according to Cindering, the owner of ROBLOX High School, and we can't wait to see what will change!

We're officially back!

An image from one of our old blog posts! Celebrate!

ROBLOX Daily is now officially back up and running! After 2 years of major renovation and getting our site back into tip-top shape, out site is back up!

What happened?
In 2013, one of our editors decided to completely destroy our blog by modifying all properties of the site and removing all posts on the site. This editor has since been removed from the ROBLOX Daily blog and now lives a happy life as a military group leader on ROBLOX.

Of course, after 2 years, our staff was let go and now we have no one - so we need people to work for us! We created very strict and secret guidelines that editors and writers must meet to be hired on the site - If they don't meet any requirements, they are not accepted. This is to prevent history from repeating itself. All people who want to work at ROBLOX Daily are to meet these guidelines. You can inquire about working at ROBLOX Daily by contacting us on ROBLOX!
